British Cycling Membership/Racing Licence

I got the same thing but assume it is a timing problem. It usually takes a while to get the paper work up and running at BC so I would suggest trying again in a few days...

Are you planning some winter races then? Or just very organised?!?

You're right, we aren't listed.

Does anyone fromt he committee know if we are paid up yet?

(There are loads of other Weslh clubs missing too from what I can gather)

I'll check with the commitee tonight to make sure that we've done our bit. It could well be that Welsh Cycling haven't submitted details to BC. I think a similar thing happened last year at this time.

All,

I renewed my licence and membership with BC last week and received a letter back on Friday. My membership has been accepted but my racing licence will only be sent out to the secretary once the club registration is completed?!?

Are we still not registered with BC or have they buggered up the paperwork at their end? I know Paul J managed to get his licence but myself and Jade have both struggled. We don't appear on the Club Finder list either so it would suggest we aren't registered?

My first race is in 2 weeks time and really need the licence by then.

Could we chase BC to find out what has happened? (I'm happy to do it if somebidy confirms we have sent the registration docs and fees off)

Thanks

Michael

Had a call from Michael Heaven at Welsh Cycling. They received the forms today so hopefully the licences won't be too long now.

Hi all
I have had a letter from B.C. stating that my membership card will be sent to the club secretary once the club has affiliated to them , so some one needs to send it off ASAP

Same here and still no update on the BC site (we still don't appear in the Club Finder section).

Guys, just got the email below from BC Membership. It looks like there is also a delay between our club registration details being passed from Welsh Cycling to British Cycling. The only way I will get a licence ahead of the 6th March is to remove Ystwyth CC as my club, get the licence, then re-add Ystwyth CC once the registration is complete. This might apply to everyone else who hasn't yet got their licence:

Subject: RE: Ystwyth Cycling Club not registered?

Dear Michael,

Thank you for your recent e-mail. I have checked our system and the club affiliation has not been received from Welsh Cycling as yet. Should you require your racing licence urgently we can remove your club which will release your licence and this will be sent direct to your home address.

Once the club has re-affiliated you will need to contact British Cycling and we will re-add your club to your records.

Please could you confirm if you wish to go ahead with this ?

Kind Regards,
